Continue Breakups are hard on all guys. Simple enough to say, but I know plenty of women will talk about how some guy came off like an insensitive jackass after the relationship fell apart because of his actions post-breakup. If a guy is profoundly obnoxious or terrible after a breakup, it is most often a testament to how rough the breakup was on him. Some people cope by lashing out.
Jerry Seinfeld once said that breaking up a relationship needs to be like taking off a Band-aid — One motion: In the same regard, when a relationship ends, it is much much harder for a guy to go back and discuss and revisit and talk through and explain, etc. Personally, I have had breakups where I pretty much went cold. I wanted her to be OK, I wanted good things for her in life, but I knew that nothing was going to make the situation better. No discussion was going to fix things, no clarity was to be had — it would have just been an emotional toilet for both of us.
Questioning about life, wondering about the latter, and “soul searching”, as you state it is something I had to do a while back in order to realize what I was really looking for in my life. That realization that I was discontent at where I was in my own personal life is what basically made me sacrifice the man that I loved. Even though he was the one who brought me stableness and structure, ironically, was also the man that made me question the life I had, where I was heading and how I would be if one day he left me.

After break up, ex immediately signs up onto dating site? I’d like your thoughts on a certain situation. My ex and I broke up and I had to move a few states back home after living with him for a year. I found out, not from him, that he had signed up on a dating site the night I left. He only made the account and didn’t fill out a picture or any info. I don’t tell him I know, nor do I do anything about it. I figure he must be hurting and missing me and trying to fill the gap with something?

My wife left me after 25 years of marriage My wife left me after 25 years of marriage My wife and I separated 8 weeks ago after 25 years of marriage. No outside parties were involved at least from my side , but after agreeing to live in the home until it was sold the house was already on the market my wife moved into her sisters home. The problem I have is that all during our separation my wife has made no contact with me unless it was to do with the children or the house and then only by text.
The only time she spoke to me was if I rang her. After we had separated 7 weeks I decided to write a letter to my wife telling her my feelings towards her and to make a proposal to try and reconcile our relationship and suggested we meet to talk about this or at least to explain to me what had happened to her love for me if she could not re-kindle her love for me. Again all I got back was a text message saying she had nothing to discus and was very distant to me when I phoned her.
I would be grateful as to your views on the matter. Unfortunately, your story is all too common. Most couples get divorced after 4 to 6 years of marriage or they wait till much later in life, usually right around the 25 year mark.
